Our mission is to preserve and promote Nepali culture, heritage, and traditions for future generations. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of unity, pride, and belonging among Nepali individuals and families living in the greater Chicago area. The Nepali Cultural Center is more than just a gathering place—it is our shared cultural home. As a future hub for a Nepali Hindu Temple, a community library, and various cultural and educational programs, the center will serve as a space where traditions are honored, stories are preserved, and knowledge is passed down to future generations. Here, community members come together to celebrate festivals, perform religious rituals, learn our language and arts, support one another, and strengthen both intergenerational and intercultural connections. The Nepali Cultural Center Chicago The Nepali Cultural Center Chicago serves as a vibrant cultural, spiritual, and educational hub for both the Nepali diaspora and the broader multicultural community. While we are deeply rooted in Nepali heritage, we are equally committed to fostering cross-cultural dialogue, mutual respect, and inclusive engagement among diverse communities throughout the Chicago area. Our facilities will be located in the north side of Chicago and the greater North Chicagoland area, making the center accessible to a large and growing Nepali community. At NCCC, our goal is to create a welcoming environment where individuals of all backgrounds can learn about Nepali traditions, participate in cultural programs, and build meaningful connections. The center will feature a Nepali Hindu Temple, a dedicated cultural event hall, a Nepali cultural library, and Nepali language and arts classes for children and adults. Through festivals, educational workshops, religious activities, and community gatherings, we aim to preserve our heritage while offering meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange. Together, we strive to celebrate diversity, strengthen unity, and build a lasting cultural home for generations to come.

Goals of the Nepali Cultural Center Chicago 1- Preserve and Promote Nepali Heritage Protect Nepal’s cultural traditions, values, and historical identity through dedicated programs, collections, and community involvement. 2- Establish a Nepali Hindu Temple Create a sacred spiritual space for worship, rituals, festivals, and cultural continuity for Nepali and Hindu communities across the Midwest. 3- Strengthen Nepali Language Preservation Provide structured Nepali language classes for children and adults, literacy programs, conversational groups, and language-learning materials to ensure language transmission to future generations. 4- Develop a Nepali Cultural Library & Resource Center Build a comprehensive library with Nepali books, literature, religious texts, historical documents, archives, multimedia resources, and research materials to support education, cultural study, and community learning. 5- Promote Traditional Arts & Performing Arts Support and showcase Nepali music, dance, folk arts, crafts, theater, and storytelling through classes, performances, and artist collaborations. 6- Organize Cultural Events & Festivals Host regular cultural events, celebrations, film screenings, exhibitions, and festivals such as Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Losar, Teej, and New Year to strengthen community identity and pride. 7- Advance Cultural Education & Awareness Offer workshops, seminars, cultural orientation sessions, youth programs, and heritage education to foster deeper understanding of Nepali culture and history. 8- Foster Collaboration Between Nepali and Non-Nepali Communities,Build bridges through partnerships, intercultural events, dialogues, and community outreach programs. 9- Provide an Inclusive Community Space Create a welcoming environment for individuals and families of all backgrounds to gather, learn, celebrate, and connect. 10- Support Humanitarian & Community Well-being Programs Offer volunteer opportunities, mental health and wellness activities, senior programs, youth leadership programs, and emergency community support. 11- Strengthen Social Cohesion & Nepali Identity Build unity among Nepali diaspora members through intergenerational programs that strengthen cultural pride and shared values. 12- Promote Cross-Cultural Dialogue & Multicultural Engagement,Collaborate with cultural organizations, schools, and civic groups to celebrate diversity and enrich Chicago’s multicultural landscape. 13- Create Educational Opportunities for All Ages Provide classes in language, arts, music, religious studies, cultural history, and leadership to empower children, teens, adults, and seniors. 14- Preserve Nepali Legacy for Future Generations Integrate spiritual, cultural, and educational programs to ensure that Nepali traditions remain strong, vibrant, and inspiring for decades to come.
